Class of 2025 Commencement Vs. Graduation
HWDSB has not yet announced whether we are celebrating the Class of 2025 with a commencement or with a graduation. Please note that a commencement is different than graduation. At commencement, all grade 12s are invited to celebrate the end of high school and exciting next step into post-secondary learning. This means that we wouldn’t be handing out diplomas, awards, or announcing honour roll. Everyone would be invited – even if they weren’t graduating this June.
If we have a commencement this June, our grade 12s who are graduating, winning an award, or being named to the honour roll would receive a package at the end of the school year, once final grades are collected. The details on how to receive your package are to be determined.
