Student Schedules for Semester 2 Now Available!

  • Student schedules for semester two were distributed to morning classes on Tuesday, January 25
  • Changes to room numbers and/or teacher names are still possible between now and the first day of Semester Two
  • Changes to schedules might still occur to accommodate pupil-teacher ratios. You will be contacted by a guidance counsellor if this happens
  • Updated timetables are being emailed to families via Document Delivery on February 1, 2022

Requesting Timetable Changes for Semester 2

NOTE: most classes are full. Timetable changes are not likely to occur. We will offer you a place on the waitlist where possible

  • Please do not call or e-mail to ask if you are still on the waitlist. We will contact you if we’re able to find you a seat in the new class
  • Please attend all currently scheduled courses until you are notified if a seat becomes available
  • To request a change, please USE THIS DROP & ADD SURVEY to submit your request
  • Available seats are assigned based on need (graduation requirement, post-secondary requirement, medical accommodation, etc), then chronological order
  • The last day to request a timetable change is Wednesday, February 9 at 3:00 p.m. We will delete all waitlists at this time too
  • All Semester Two e-Learning classes are already closed or have a waitlist
  • All students who request e-Learning for Semester Two will begin on the waitlist
  • Students must follow their current timetable with the mindset that they may never be advanced into e-Learning
  • Any student admitted to e-Learning after the first day of school WILL BE BEHIND and we advise that you consider this carefully before accepting the seat
  • There is usually an e-Learning orientation session for all students taking or waitlisted for e-Learning
  • Students who requested a 100% e-Learning timetable for Semester Two by January 19 due to health concerns are in a special category for e-Learning waitlist
  • Moving sections of the same course is only allowed if the new section is smaller. This helps us too! Requests based on the name of the teacher, the teacher’s teaching stye, time of day, or other students in the class will be disregarded. Extenuating circumstances are always considered after an interview with your vice-principal (Mr. Currie A-K, Ms. Ferney L-Z)

Back to Semesters!

  • HWDSB is returning to a semestered model at the end of Quadmester 2. Please monitor HWDSB’s website and social media feeds for how this might look according to Public Health’s instructions
  • Semester 2 (formerly Quadmester 3&4) will run from February 3, 2022 to June 28, 2022
  • Some students will see  Civics (CHV2O3) and Careers (GLC2O3) on their scheule. These two courses are worth only 0.5 credits and take half of one semester each to complete
  • Please note that students who are taking an e-Learning course being offered by a non-HWDSB school board might not be able to see the title of their course. The name of this course is accessible by logging into The Hub and looking in the “Courses in Other Boards” widget
