Dear Ancaster High School Families,

This is to advise you that our school will be conducting a Secure Schools Protocol Drill on Tuesday, Nov. 12th at 9:20a.m. The purpose of drills like this are to ensure staff and students are prepared in case of an emergency.

Access to the building/personnel may be temporarily restricted during a Secure Schools Drill.

Please be aware the drills may involve a visit by members of the Hamilton Police Service to inform and support best practices as they relate to the safety of the school community.

It is also important we are all aware of secure schools terminology used in all of Ontario’s publicly funded schools.

We appreciate the co-operation of our students and staff during these drills.
