Sem 1 Final Evaluation Schedule Jan 2026
- The expectation is that all courses run an evaluation activity on the scheduled exam day and that students attend class during the scheduled exam times. Evaluations are scheduled for a minimum of 75 minutes. Students who require additional time should be accommodated, with the expectation that students connect with their classroom and learning resource teachers in advance.
- Students are responsible for arriving promptly to their evaluations complete with the items required to complete the activity evaluation (laptops & iPads fully charged and updated). In the event of an emergency, including illness, medical documentation must be provided.
- In the event of a school closure, the schedule will be delayed by one day (i.e., Period One exams on Wednesday will be written on Thursday and the schedule will shift back a day).
- Students are encouraged to arrange for transportation home after completing their exams. Taxis and buses will run at the regular dismissal time (3:00 pm) each day. If a student needs to remain at school, the cafeteria will be open for quiet study. Students who are not waiting for taxi/bus transportation, are to leave the building immediately following the completion of their evaluation.
- It is the expectation that ALL students will be present for their final evaluations and that no discretionary absences (appointments or vacations) are taken or scheduled during these days. A mark of zero, may occur, if a student does not participate in their final evaluations or culminating tasks.
- Students who are not returning for Semester 2 must return their devices and chargers as soon as they’ve completed their final evaluation and coursework. Those students are reminded to back up their work as they will no longer have access to their OneDrive once they are no longer registered as a student with HWDSB. Instructions for backing up files can be found on the Library HUB page.
