Glendale’s Opportunities and Learning Day (GOLD) – Thursday June 13, 2024

Glendale’s Opportunities and Learning Day, the GOLD Day, will be held on Thursday, June 13.  This will be a regular instructional day where all students are expected to attend classes as usual.
Students may build their GOLD schedule based on their individual academic and wellness needs which might include the following: catching up on overdue work, presenting a project, seeking help from the teacher, or writing a missed test.
Please note that it is a regular school day and attendance is taken in all classes.  Students report to their classes at the beginning and end of class for attendance.  Students will use their tracking sheet throughout the day to verify their work plan and submit it to their period 4 teachers at the end of the day.
Teachers and administrators will be supervising halls and washrooms throughout the day and they are available to support students to meet their achievement goals.

What?  GOLD – Glendale’s Opportunities and Learning Days
When?  Thursday, June 13, 2024 during regular instructional periods
Why?  To provide a self-directed learning opportunity, to close gaps, to submit outstanding items, and to set aside some time to meet their own learning needs
How?  Students will report to their regular class, use the Tracker Sheet to move to a receiving classroom, and continue to report to each class at the beginning/end of the period for attendance
