Winter Sports 2024-2025

HWIAC teams and athletes had an outstanding season of Winter sports! Six schools took (and are taking) 7 different teams to OFSAA events: Westmount SS girls competed at AAA Volleyball and will be taking on AAA Hockey later in March.  Making it to the quarter finals in their OFSAA events were Hamilton DCH in Girls A Volleyball and Saltfleet DHS Boys in AAA Basketball. Waterdown DHS is having a great year and their Varsity Boys Hockey will be representing at AAA Hockey OFSAA. And HWDSB schools brought home 2 OFSAA GOLD medals this season – Orchard Park won gold in Wrestling and Sir Allan MacNab boys won AA Basketball in decisive fashion!

Congratulations to all of our athletes throughout the seasons battling snow days and reschedules and bringing your best to every game! As always, we thank our teacher coaches and volunteer community coaches without whom these events would not run!
