Unified Sport 2024

In May 2024 Westdale SS hosted the first Unified Games Event! A small, but mighty, group of student athletes from Nora Frances Henderson SS joined Westdale athletes in competing in Unified sports. In Unified Sports, teams are made up of people of similar age and ability. Teacher organizers said “It was truly heartwarming to witness how unified sports brought together individuals with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team.”

A big thank you to the organizers at both schools, and special congratulations to all the athletes!
