Featured Athlete of the Week – Tawny Yates – Glendale

Tawny Yates, a Grade 10 student at Glendale is one of our outstanding athletes for the Bears!  Tawny has been a tremendous asset to any team she has played on – basketball, volleyball, soccer, ultimate frisbee and touch football.  Many coaches have commented that she is a “coaches dream”… extremely coachable, reliable, athletic, a role model to many on and off the field and a player you can always count on!  Tawny gives nothing less than 100% and she leads by example.  Her positive attitude, good nature and competitive edge makes her a valuable contributor to every team she plays on.  Glendale is very fortunate to have Tawny for another 2 years and she will be called upon to be a leader to many of our incoming athletes.  Congratulations Tawny on being selected Glendale’s “featured” female athlete!
