Featured Athlete of the Week – Nicole Whitmore – Westdale

Nicole is a grade 12 student who has been an active Westdale Warrior since grade 9. Nicole is an excellent student and multi-talented athlete who competes all –year around.

Since grade 9 she has been a member of cross-country (OFSAA gold in grade 10), basketball, hockey, indoor and outdoor soccer, badminton, track and field hockey.

Nicole is a fantastic team player who is reliable on and off the ice, field, track and court. Her coaches say she is very coachable and a team player, listening to directions and applying them in the game. Nicole has outstanding game sense, ball and puck control, full of power and mental strength, and good decision making. She tried field hockey for the first time last fall and picked the game up very quickly.

Nicole has been on many city championship teams and competed at OFSAA many times. We hope she continues her athletic prowess post-secondary. Nicole has been accepted at multiple universities across Canada for engineering. We wish Nicole all the best and to keep Green and Gold spirit!
