Featured Athlete of the Week – Ryan Chandler – Sir Winston Churchill

Ryan Chandler, a grade 11 student at Sir Winston Churchill Secondary, and an integral part of the boys varsity hockey team is this week’s Athlete of the Week.  Coming off of a hat trick last week, Ryan was instrumental in propelling the bulldogs to a 4-0 start with another strong duo of games this week.  His timely goals, precise setup plays, and deft defending is a testament to his character and leadership qualities.  Not only is Ryan a team leader in goals and points, but his reliability and solid play put him amongst team leaders in powerplay and penalty kill minutes played.  Ryan is this week’s athlete of the week because of his commitment to the team, positive attitude, and outstanding play.
