Feature Athlete of the Week: Katona Sheehan (Delta)

Katona Sheehan has been a student at Delta Secondary for the past 4 years. Katona’s outgoing personality and love of life is evident every day. She is a team leader, playing on almost all school teams – basketball, volleyball, touch football, soccer, slo pitch, badminton, ultimate frisbee, pickleball, & track. Katona is also active on our Girls’ Athletic Council which organizes events such as Pep Rally’s, and our Student Council. In her ‘free time’ she volunteers at the East Hamilton Boys’ and Girls’ Club. Katona has been named Delta’s Junior athlete of the year in grade 10 & was our Grade 11 athlete of the year last year. Katona also represented Delta as a student Ambassador for our exchange program to Chibougamau Quebec last year. Katona is a hard working honors student, who’s smile lights up a room.
