Sir Allan MacNab collects boys touch football championship

Sir Allan MacNab – 2015-16 Grade 9 Touch Football Champions

HAMILTON (September 28, 2015) – The Sir Allan MacNab Lions defeated the Westmount Wildcats 25-0 to claim the Grade 9 Boys Touch Football Championship contested Monday at Mohawk Sports Park.

The Lions earned a perfect 3-0 record in round-robin play to advance as the No. 1 seed to the championship game.

Westmount advanced to the championship final by dusting Sir Winston Churchill 35-0 in the semifinal. The Wildcats were ranked as the No. 2 seed and also had an undefeated record heading into the championship game.

It was the fourth consecutive year Sir Allan MacNab has appeared in the championship game and with the win they picked up their second title having won the event in 2010-11.
