SLO-PITCH-G: Sir Winston Churchill knocks off Westmount 9-7 for slo-pitch crown

Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs – 2014-15 Girls Slo-Pitch Champions

HAMILTON (June 5, 2015) -The Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs secured their third consecutive girls slo-pitch title on Friday besting the Westmount Wildcats 9-7 in the HWIAC championship at Turner Park in Hamilton.

The Bulldogs cruised to the championship going a perfect 3-0 in pool play and then dusting Guido de Bres 13-0 in the quarter-final before disposing of Waterdown District High School 29-8 in the semifinal.

This was the eighth time the Bulldogs have captured the girls slo-pitch title with their first coming back in 1993-94. Westmount and Sir Winston Churchill have met in the championship final of the two day event the last three times with Churchill earning all three victories.
