Apprenticeship is hands-on training for motivated people who enjoy learning by doing. The training provides access to well-paying jobs that demand a high level of skills, judgment and creativity. Apprentices are paid while gaining work experience, and their wages increase with their level of skills.

Information on over 140 skilled trades that can be learned through apprenticeship training can be found at www.edu.gov.on.ca.

Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program – is a school-to-work transition program. Students earn co-operative education credits through work placements in the skilled trades which may lead to an apprenticeship.

MOYAP Program – start your apprenticeship now and earn four high school credits through a full day Co-op placement combined with in class instruction at Mohawk College in:
Automotive Service Technician Early Childhood Educator, Carpenter, Child and Youth Worker, Cook, Construction Craft Worker, Hairstylist, Industrial Mechanic Millwright, Machinist
