Final Evaluation Days
Final Evaluation Days
Wednesday, January 21 9:00–10:15 a.m. – Period 1 Final Evaluation
Thursday, January 22 9:00–10:15 a.m. – Period 2 Final Evaluation
Friday, January 23 9:00–10:15 a.m. – Period 3 or Period 4 Final Evaluation
Monday, January 26 9:00–10:15 a.m. – Period 5 Final Evaluation
During the Final Evaluation period, all students will participate in evaluation activities for a minimum of 75 minutes per course, with attendance taken each day. Students are expected to complete a portion of their final evaluation during these days.
Educators will determine and communicate in advance the specific activities that will take place during Final Evaluation Days. At Westdale, all final evaluations will begin at 9:00 a.m., unless an alternative time has been communicated directly to students by their classroom teacher (e.g., a performance schedule for music class).
Tuesday, January 27 is reserved as a Final Evaluation Make-Up Day. This day may be used in the event of inclement weather (e.g., a board-wide snow day) or for students who were absent during a scheduled evaluation day. In addition, this day may be used to support student success opportunities (e.g., completion tasks, assessment re-takes, credit rescue). All such arrangements must be pre-arranged by the classroom teacher in consultation with the student and family, where appropriate.
Snow Day Information
In the event of a Snow Day during the Final Evaluation period, the schedule will shift forward by one day. For example, if Wednesday, January 21 is a snow day, Period 1 Final Evaluations would take place on Thursday, January 22, and the remainder of the schedule would proceed in order.
We wish all students the very best as they complete their Final Evaluations.
