Fire Evacuation

Dear Families,  

Westdale Secondary School students and staff evacuated today as a result of a small fire. We regret that this was the second evacuation in two days.

Hamilton Fire Department responded immediately. They were able to clear the school for re-entry and students returned to learning. There was no lasting damage and smoke was cleared from the space.

Students are asked if they know anything about today’s incident to report it to their teacher. They are also encouraged to report anonymously through HWDSB Helps: Text 905-963-0066.
