School Operations – Nov. 4th

Westdale Secondary and other HWDSB schools remain open to in-person learning.

We respect and value our CUPE employees and the important work they do every day to support our students, staff, and community.

We want to ensure our community that health and safety for all continues to be our priority. Please be assured that regular daily maintenance (e.g., flushing of water fountains and sinks) and safety measures (e.g., fire panel inspection) will continue to occur prior to each school day. We will continue center students and focus on student learning and well-being.

Beginning on November 4th and until further notice, there will be a few changes that students need to be aware of:

• Access to the school will be restricted to 15 minutes prior to the instructional day (7:45am) and 15 minutes after the instructional day (2:45pm) for students and families.
• The cafeteria will be closed following the end of the last lunch period (1:15pm).
• Extracurricular activities on board property including provincial events (e.g., Arts, Athletics, clubs, after school tutoring, etc.) is paused beginning Nov. 4th to Nov. 11 unless an agreement is reached.
