Here are a few updates and reminders before our first day of school next Tuesday September 6th:

• Classes follow our regular schedule and period 1 starts at 8:00 AM
• Please be mindful of the traffic during our morning start, we do have a few busses that will be dropping students off at the front of the building in the morning and pick up at the end of school at 2:30 PM
• Unfortunately at this time there is no student parking. Staff do have parking passes displayed in their vehicles. All other vehicles must park using the community roads however please be mindful of local street signs and regulations
• Period one teachers will assign lockers to students (students must bring their own lock); students without a period one class may come to the Main Office for locker assignments
• I-pads will be distributed during the first week of school. Please be patient as there will be communication throughout the week in school about this distribution plan
• Please find your student schedule in the Parent Portal. During the first day at 8 AM we will have extra hard copies of student schedules with maps of the school in the Cafeteria
• Students who qualify for an HSR bus letter can pick this up in their period one class (if they have not already picked up at our Open House) and those students without a period one class can obtain it from the main office
• School photo day is scheduled for Sept 28 and 29^th (announcements will be made)
• The school Cafeteria is open and ready for students however the hot food service will not open for another week
• For students with prevalent medical conditions there will be a school message sent out early next week with fillable documents for plan of care supports
• The student all gender/single use washroom will be located on the first floor by the auditorium and has appropriate signage on the door

Our staff are very excited to begin our new school year. I look forward to seeing all our students next Tuesday. Have a wonderful long weekend.
