MELD Community Access Award

The McMaster English Language Development (MELD) Office is proud to announce the MELD Community Access Award. The award has been established in order to support up to 10 individuals living in the City of Hamilton who demonstrate financial need and are looking to improve their English language skills to achieve their personal, academic or career goals. Each recipient will receive a tuition and fees waiver valued at approximately $30,000 to attend the MELD Diploma  Program.

Applications are now open and will close on July 3, 2020.

Schulich (Nomination Process)

Mark Graham Memorial Athletic Scholarship

The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one or more graduating student who will be attending a post-secondary institution the following year.  The specific criteria is available on the application form in the Student Services office.  Cover letters must be handed in to the Health and Physical Education Department by June 7th.

African Caribbean Cultural Scholarship Awards

These scholarships recognize the academic achievements and community contributions of students of African or Caribbean heritage and will be presented at an Awards Banquet in October.  Applications are available in Student Services and must be submitted by May 30, 2019.  If you feel you quality, please make an appointment with your Guidance Counsellor as soon as possible.

Goodes Award at Queen’s

The Melvin R Goodes Entrance Awards are presented each year to students who meet the criteria.  Please see the attached flyer for more information.
