Water Testing Results

Dear Families,  

Recently, our school underwent annual water testing for lead, in accordance with the provincial regulations (O.Reg 243/07). As a result of this testing, an exceedance was identified within the school.

This sample was taken from a sink in a Kindergarten Room.

In addition to informing the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, our Occupational Health and Safety Department has consulted with Hamilton Public Health Services to ensure appropriate corrective actions in the circumstance have been taken for the safety of your child. This includes any requirements prescribed in the regulation as well as any additional actions required by Hamilton Public Health Services. Corrective actions are now in place, and the exceedance has been rectified.
