Positive Culture and Well- Being

Today was the first meeting of our new Student Council.  Our Student Council organizes various activities to  enhance our school spirit.  We asked for their voice regarding how to recognize students for their contributions in the classroom and at the school level.  For example, last year we had monthly award assemblies that were Teacher led.  So we asked our Student Council if they could lead assemblies, what / how to recognize students, promoting reading through a school wide read-a-thon.  So lets give them some time to organize their thinking and voice.

School Bus Safety Week

Next week let’s thank our School Bus Drivers for their dedication to the safety of our students.   School Bus Driver Appreciation Day is on Wednesday October 24.

Fire Drill #2 will take place next week.

Fire Safety Presentation

Two fire safety presentations by the Hamilton Fire Department are scheduled for Friday October 25.  One assembly presentation for students in grades 1, 2 and the second for students in grades 3, 4.

Lockdown Practice

A Lockdown Practice will take place on Thursday October 24 at noon.  Our Community Police Officer will be present to support our practice.
