School Council

School Council will have its first meeting on Thursday September 19 beginning at 6:30 pm. in our library.  During this meeting we will be electing the following positions:

• Chair
• Vice Chair
• Treasurer
• Secretary

We will also be reviewing the Board’s Volunteer Policy and watching a supportive video.

Our present Co-Chairs Cheryl Cader and Sammie Button and myself encourage your participation to have your voice heard and support the growth of our students and community.

Parking Spaces

We have two parking lots. In total for both parking lots, we have 22 parking spaces for 45 staff. Plus we have Board staff who come and go throughout the day. So you can see parking spaces are needed.

Safety of All

In the morning, there are a considerable amount of people coming to the school, specifically accessing the playground near the Kindergarten classrooms on Kingslea Dr. Cars moving in and out of this parking lot poses a safety concern for all. So beginning on Tuesday September 17, I will be in the parking lot near the Kindergarten classrooms on Kingslea Dr. Here I will place an orange pylon that will close the parking lot to the public. Please find legal parking spots on the public streets to park and walk your child to the playground.

It is my intention that we continue to partner together to promote walking to school and driving our cars around near the school slowly for the safety of all.
