Our School

Dalewood Middle School is located in the Ainslie Woods – Westdale area.  It is close to McMaster University, McMaster Hospital, and Westdale Highschool.  The area is well-established and a historic area of Hamilton.

Our School Plan

Curriculum Focus

Teachers and Administrators work closely as a Professional Learning Community (PLC) focused on improving student achievement through instructional practice in all subject areas.
The School Improvement Plan focuses on:

  • TBA for 2021-22 school year

Differentiated Instruction classes are offered at Dalewood as part of a system initiative to in-service teachers across the HWDSD focused on Content, Process and Product while adhering to Equity (Profiles, Identity and Access to Resources)

Environment Focus

  • The goal is to initiate activities that foster integrity and encourage positive character development in our students
