The role of the Teacher-Librarian is crucial in meeting the needs of Orchard Park’s students by helping to develop comprehensive literacy skills. As the school’s information specialists, the Teacher-Librarian works cooperatively with classroom teachers in the planning, the teaching and the assessment of students, while being charged with the responsibility of ensuring that the Learning Commons’s collection contains current and varied print and electronic resources that support student learning.
