Students will be going to the Ontario College of Art & Design in Toronto to view summative art exhibits. Students will learn the critical analysis process by examining, interpreting, evaluating and reflecting on various (media) art works and how they affect the society in which they were created.
The Dance Crew will be travelling to Niagara Falls to participate in Niagara's Best Dance Crew at the Scotiabank Convention Centre. It is intended the students will learn how the skills developed can be used outside of class, art works reflect personal and cultural identity and values, apply audience etiquette and art appreciation.
Students will be travelling to Mississauga to see what opportunities are available in secondary school and to encourage students to participate in non-traditional trades.
Students will travel to Brandon Gate Elementary School in Mississauga to perform their first concert. After lunch the band will continue to their next location to perform for Fallingdale Elementary School in Brampton. Students will learn about performance etiquette, teamwork, time management and to present repertoire learned as curriculum.
