Grade 7 & 8 Information Night

Grade 7 and 8 students and families are invited to learn more about HWDSB programs at upcoming Grade 7 & 8 Information Nights for specialty programs!

Take your time to plan, with your family, so that you can work toward the pathway that will be best for you. At HWDSB, we believe in you, and in the ability of our staff to support you.

We provide choice through a variety of courses, programs, and pathways for students at their home school, including a number of Specialized
(Tier 3) programs at various secondary schools.

HWDSB offers interested students transportation to these programs if they live out of the school catchment. Specialized Tier 3 programs are open to students beyond the school catchment based on their geographical location. Each specialized program will have a program boundary beyond the school boundary.

Information nights for the Audition-Based Arts Program (Glendale), Self-Paced/Self-Directed Programming (Westmount), and French Immersion (Sherwood and Westdale) are listed in the chart below. Students and families can also click through the tabs to find more information, including details about application timelines, related to these specialty programs.
