Mary Hopkins News – Nov 29

Good Evening,

Celebrations – Although this is a time when many families want to show their appreciation, food sharing among the classroom and staff is not permitting.  Parents are reminded not to send in baked goods or items that require distribution.

Pick Up Waiting Area – Thank you for your support with drop and go mornings.  It has helped provide the distancing needed to make our mornings safe and orderly.  We are now asking for your support with our end of day dismissal.  Beginning Monday, we will allocate the space near the church fence and portables as our waiting area.  Pylons will mark this area. We ask that you safely distance in this area until the 3:30 dismissal bell.  Upon hearing the bell, caregivers can proceed to class pick up locations.  Following this procedure will allow staff and students to move through the blacktop area safely and participate in end of day outdoor activities.

Hamilton Foundation – In the November 24th update, it was communicated that all School Council fundraising remains on pause.  Our School Council wanted to communicate that parents looking to donate, can make personal contributions to the Hamilton Foundation for Student Success. Donated funds support HWDSB students in overcoming barriers or they can be designated to support specific schools and/or needs.  More information can be found by following the above link.
