Hello Families,

End of Day Pick Up – Thank you again for supporting our daily routines and the changes that we have in place.  We are maximizing our outdoor time this school year and as a result, many classrooms are outside at the end of the day.  If you arrive early, please wait until the 3:30 bell before proceeding to your child’s pick up location.

Updated School Screening – Anyone who enters our building must complete the daily school screening.  The most up to date screener can be found at https://www.hwdsb.on.ca/about/covid19/student-screening-translated-documents/

This screener was revised last week and now includes a distinction between major and minor symptoms and next steps for families to follow.  https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/.  If you are unsure after completing the screening, please contact the school and we can walk you through the process.

Remote/In School Transition – Parents/guardians are able to choose between remote and in-person school programs at specific times throughout the year. The first transition will be November 3.

Families seeking a change can indicate their preference through the parent portal. ONLY FAMILIES SEEKING CHANGES NEED TO COMPLETE THE FORM.  The form will be available on the portal from Monday, October 5  (9:00 am)  to Monday, October 12 (11:59 pm)

If you cannot access the parent portal, please contact the office or email [email protected] and we will enter your selection.

School Council – School Council had their first meeting last week.  Our next meeting will be run on Wednesday, October 28 at 6:30 pm.  All meetings are open to any Mary Hopkins families that would like to attend.  Welcome to Carley Casey who will be taking on the role of School Council chair this year.  If you would like to reach out to our School Council, the email address is [email protected].
