Parent Portal and Absences

We have been getting calls  by parents indicating the absent count of their child is incorrect.  Here is how absences are recorded and counted.  If you child is absent for a full day, it is recorded as one absent and two occurences (one for the morning and one for the afternoon).  So if your child has been absent for three days, you would see in the parent portal six occurrences.  I hope this clarifies your understanding.  Please call the Office if you have any questions.
