Solar Eclipse Viewers

HWDSB in partnership with McMaster University have provide solar eclipse viewers for all HWDSB staff and students. Dalewood students will be receiving their viewers today (March 28, 2024) from their homeroom teacher. Please ask your child about these as we only have one pair per student to give out. Solar eclipse viewers must meet the international standard ISO 12312-2 for safe viewing. Looking directly at the Sun with the naked eye or through any device or filter other than ISO 12312-2 certified eclipse glasses may cause permanent damage and even blindness. Staff and students are reminded to make sure that the glasses are not damaged or scratched before use. Instructions for use can be found on the back side of the solar eclipse viewers.
