Parent volunteers and community members come out two days during the year, once inf the fall and once in the spring, to beautify our entire school playground and front yards. Local nurseries and landscaping businesses work as partners to keep our Learning Grounds well tended and environmentally friendly. The entire school pitches in! It is truly an amazing event.

Parent & Community Involvement

Community

Millgrove is truly fortunate to have had the support of the Strabane Optimist Club. This organization has provided support to our school in a variety of ways including the purchase of several Smart Boards.  The Flamborough Food Bank is grateful to accept donations from Millgrove School at Christmas time.  We support the Heart and Stroke Foundation at the spring Jump Rope for Heart event and we also contribute generously to the Terry Fox Run.  The Millgrove Children’s Centre is a true partner with Millgrove School. The day care does an amazing job advocating for our school. Wendy Teed (owner) supports our school in every way possible!

Parent

Parents have a very important part to play in their child’s education. The parents at Millgrove school are simply awesome!  Parents dedicate their time to serving on School Council and fundraising for events such as Scientists in the School.  They volunteer their time in our classrooms and at many school and community events (Dinner and Skate, Go for Green, Open House, Pizza Days and a variety of School Fundraisers).
