Message for Families Planning Out of Country Vacations –  We wish to remind you that travel restrictions are continually changing. Please consider that currently, unvaccinated children under the age of 12 may be exempt from quarantine but are unable to return to school or childcare for 14 days upon their return from out-of-country visits. Food Drive – The Food Drive is in full swing at Mary Hopkins! Thank you to all of the families who have sent in food so far. We are very grateful for your donations to help families in need in our community. All proceeds from the food drive will go to Waterdown’s Food With Grace. Your donations of non-perishable food items will be gladly accepted from December 1-13. Please send in any donations with your child.

Human Rights Policy –  All HWDSB community members (students, parents, caregivers, guardians, staff, volunteers, community partners and community members) are invited to share their perspectives to inform the human rights policy and procedure. Complete the human rights policy survey– open until January 5, 2022 or join one of the live sessions.  More information can be found at Human Rights Policy | Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (hwdsb.on.ca)

Student CensusStudent Census Letter – To learn more about our students, we will conduct a voluntary and confidential census. We ask families to review the linked letter to learn more about the student census and its purpose. K to Gr. 4 Students – A form will be added to the Parent Portal.  Parents and Guardians can go to the Portal, open the form, and complete the Student Census at this location. Print copies are available by request to your child’s teacher. Please only complete one census form per student (online or print).  Grade 5 students will complete the Student Census in class.
