December 13 – Last Day for Food Drive Donations

Student CensusStudent Census Letter – At Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB), we are committed to identifying and removing barriers so we can offer all students supportive, inclusive, and respectful learning environments. To learn more about our students, we will conduct a voluntary and confidential census. We ask families to review the linked letter to learn more about the student census and its purpose.

K to Gr. 4 Students – A form will be added to the Parent Portal.  Parents and Guardians can go to the Portal, open the form, and complete the Student Census at this location. Print copies are available by request to your child’s teacher. Please only complete one census form per student (online or print).

Gr. 5 to 12 – We will email a secure link to students in grades 5 to 12, so they can complete the census form online during class time, with teacher support. Students whose parents/guardians previously requested that they NOT participate in the census will not receive the email.

Food Drive – We are organizing a food drive to help families in need in our community. All proceeds from the food drive will go to Waterdown’s Food With Grace. Your donations of non-perishable food items will be gladly accepted from December 1-13. Please send in any donations with your child.

Snow Clearing – With today’s first snow, we wanted to remind families of the HWDSB snow clearing guidelines.  Snow clearing is a shared responsibility between board staff, contractors, and city staff.  Details can be found by following the link below.  Be sure to take your time on wet and snowy mornings even in areas that have been cleared.
