Experience the joy of a Book Fair online by joining us! https://virtualbookfairs.scholastic.ca/pages/5163731 Share this link with grandparents, too! Extended family can participate in the Virtual Book Fair from the comfort of home. Remember, all purchases benefit our school and earn rewards that can be redeemed for books for our school. Thank you for participating in our Scholastic Virtual Book Fair!

Nut-Safe School – A reminder that Mary Hopkins is a nut-safe school.  Parents are asked to pack a lunch free of nuts and nut products to assure the safety of our students with anaphylactic allergies to nuts.  For those older students who may be packing their own lunch, we ask parents to remind them as well.

Inclement Weather – Although the weather has been mild to date, we wanted to send a reminder regarding the HWDSB severe weather policies.  School boards have varied policies on cancellations.  The HWDSB Rule is Severe weather + Bus cancellation = No school. When HWDSB cancels busing due to inclement weather, we have deemed the roads unsafe and this triggers the closure of schools.  To better understand HWDSB’s severe weather policy please refer to the following handout. Severe-Weather-Handout-for-Schools-2020.pdf (hwdsb.on.ca) or visit our HWDSB Severe Weather page. Severe Weather | Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (hwdsb.on.ca)
