June 1 – Deadline to Select Remote Learning for September 2021 (via Parent Portal)

Remote Learning Option for September – HWDSB is offering remote learning for elementary students in 2021-22 as an option for families concerned about the COVID-19 pandemic. Families can select elementary remote learning for 2021-22 on the Parent Portal.  This form is open until Tuesday, June 1.  No action is required for families who continue to select in-person learning. We ask families to commit to remote learning for the entire 2021-22 school year, but there will be an opportunity to transition to in-person learning early in early October.

Student Census – We All Count: HWDSB Student Census 2021, closes May 21, 2021.  All emails have been sent. Print copies are available by request to [email protected].

• Students in Kindergarten to Grade 4: We will email families a secure link to the census form so they can complete the census form online on behalf of their child.
• Students in Grades 5 to 12: We will email a secure link to students in grades 5 to 12, so they can complete the census form online during class time, with teacher support.

Support for Parents While on Remote – During class time, the teacher is focused on classroom instruction.  We remind families that Remote-Class-Time-is-Learning-Time.   If you do have a question or concern, it will need to be addressed outside of this time.
