Hello Families

Thank you  to everyone for your support over the past week.  We understand that hearing about a positive case connected with our school could have been very stressful for families.  We also know that you may hear information in the community or online.  Families are reminded that the best way to get accurate and up-to-date information is to reach out to the school directly.  We welcome any questions or calls around navigating COVID 19.

As we pass the year mark for the pandemic, we also know that there is a certain level of fatigue around our Covid 19 routines.  Know that these protocols do make a difference for all of us at school and in the community and we truly appreciate your continued effort and vigilance.

March 22 – Parent Portal form opens for those Interested in Transition between Remote/In School
March 28 – Parent Portal form closes for those interested in transition between Remote/In School
March 31 – School Council Meeting – 6:30 pm via Team
April 2 – Good Friday – School Closed
April 5 – Easter Monday – School Closed

Grade 2 Reading Home Reading Program – We are excited to introduce Home Reading with Heart. This is a special HWDSB Home Reading program just for Grade 2 students and their families. Details will be coming to participating families via email by Monday, March 22.

Transition between Remote/In-Person – HWDSB will provide a third and final opportunity for families to transition between the Elementary Remote Learning Program and in-person this spring. The first full day of school in a new location for students will be Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Families who wish to switch must complete the Elementary Transition Between Remote and In-Person (Optional Request Form). The form will be available in the Parent Portal and opens on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. It will close on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. Only complete this form if you would like to request a change in the delivery model.
