October 30th Spirit Day – Mary Hopkins students are invited to participate in a Spirit Day on Friday, October 3oth by wearing a Halloween costume or dressing in fall colours (orange, red, yellow).

Students will participate in the full school day in this attire.  Students wearing costumes should opt for a simplified version and leave extra accessories at home.  Food sharing is not allowed at this time so do not send in class treats.

Dressing for the Weather – Don’t forget to send your child with clothes for both cold and wet weather.  Unless the weather is extreme, students will be kept outside in the mornings until the bell.  We also continue to take advantage of outdoor time to allow for fresh air, movement and a break from wearing a mask.

Student Illness and Absences – The decision guides for parents were revised last week.  Below are the links to the flowcharts that families can use to navigate next steps if their child is symptomatic.

Parent Portal Forms – A reminder that families are asked to complete two forms (Media Consent & Information Verification) on the Parent Portal.  If you require assistance, please contact the office and we can enter this information directly for you, or walk you through the process.
