Mary Hopkins – Sept 27

Hello Families,

Now that we have many of our routines in place, we will transition our focus to student mental health and well-being. Over the next few weeks, teachers will be delivering board developed lessons on topics such as every day vs overwhelming emotions, noticing and naming our emotions and identifying self-care activities. These modules were developed to assist our school community to better understand how we can support ourselves and each other.

Dress for the Weather – With the weather shifting from the sunny days, be sure to send your child dressed for outdoor time and outdoor activities.

Orange Shirt Day – Wednesday, September 30th is Orange Shirt Day.  On this day we honour the Indigenous children who were sent to residential schools and educate ourselves about this history.  A child-friendly link is provided for families who would like to learn more about this day.
