Help Us Improve The Learning Math Together Resources

Thursday, May 10, 2018

In spring 2018, HWDSB held focus groups at three schools to hear directly from parents about the barriers they face when helping their children with Math.

In response to the feedback we received, we created the Learning Math Together resources. These resources can be found at www.hwdsb.on.ca/mathhelp.

We would now like to hear from you again to assess how well we met your needs and if you feel more confident in helping your child with their Math work.

Please fill out a short survey to let us know what you think of the resources and how they can be improved. The survey can be found at https://goo.gl/forms/VjPTqchJlgnCM5yC2

Learning Math Together

Wednesday, May 02, 2018

As you are our partner in your child’s learning, we have put together some math resources to help you support your child. These resources highlight student learning in each grade through the Ontario Curriculum, show an example of a math lesson in a classroom in Student Learning, hear from children about why they are learning math this way in Change in Teaching, link to resources for parents to support their child at home in Helping Your Child, and explain HWDSB’s Renewed Math Strategy and how we are supporting students and staff

To view and use these resources, please visit: www.hwdsb.on.ca/mathhelp

The Hamilton Medical Officer of Health has identified an estimated Lyme disease risk area in the City of Hamilton. Lyme disease is an illness caused by the bacteria, Borrelia burgdorferi.
This bacteria is passed onto to people and pets through the bite of a blacklegged tick (also called a deer tick) that can also carry the bacteria. Please see the letter below with more details about Lyme disease.
