Take Our Kids To Work Day is This Wednesday
Families of grade 9 students are reminded that “Take our Kids to Work Day” is this Wednesday (November 6th). Three options are listed below for families.
TOKW Options for Families:

Return the signed consent form (The student will be excused and expected to attend a work placement).

The Parent/Guardian excuses the student for the day and the student will be participating virtually (see below).

The student comes to school that day and attends regular classes.
Virtual Option:
The TOKW Family Guide (TOKW_Family-Guide_2024.pdf) outlines alternatives to an in-person workplace visit. On November 6th, the Students Commission of Canada will host a virtual event called TOKW Career Live! This 10-hour live event will feature exclusive guests throughout the day and offer an alternative for students who do not have an in-person placement.
