Remembrance Day Assembly

On Monday November 11th, Waterdown District will hold assemblies in the morning to commemorate the importance of being an advocate for peace and unity through our honoured guest, Major Bamlett.
Major Bamlett served in the Canadian Armed Forces for over 40 years. At the age of 58 years, Chuck was posted to Afghanistan and was outside the wire acting as an advisor to the Afghanistan Government. He was wounded in an attack on the  Governor’s Palace. Chuck also served for a number of years as a police officer in Toronto and Hamilton. His service included patrol duties, traffic, bomb disposal, detective office, emergency task force and court office administration. Additionally, Chuck was employed as an investigator with Children’s Aid, unemployment insurance, and Canadian Border Security Agency.
We look forward to engaging our student body to reflect on this day.
