Entry to School Information Night for families of Special Education Kindergarten Students
As we begin the planning process for students entering Kindergarten in September 2025, please find below the important steps, timelines and documents to support the entry to school process for students requiring special education services. In December, supporting documents were sent out to pre-school community agencies/partners and posted on HWDSB website under Kindergarten, Kindergarten Orientation, Entry to School for Students Requiring Special Education Services.January 28, 2025

Special Education collects information from families through the 2025 Students with Extensive Special Education Needs Form Fillable and plans Transition Meetings with the homeschool. Dates and times, along with documentation shared by families, will be shared with homeschools once meeting dates are confirmed. Please share the Students with Extensive Special Education Needs Form with any families registering for Kindergarten in September with a student who requires special education services.
