Construction Update

It was a busy summer at Norwood as Phase 1 of construction started on two intermediate classrooms on the second floor. Phase 1 anticipated finish date is early November. Phase 2 involves the renovation of the Music and Learning Commons (Library) rooms on the main floor. Due to construction the music room is occupying half of the gym space. Physical education is happening outside (weather conditions permitting). We do have access to half the gym space for inclement weather. Anticipated completion date for both phases is first week of January 2020.

Upcoming Events

Mark your calendars for these upcoming events: 

• September 9 is the due date for the grade 7 immunization consent forms 
• September 12 is Meet the Teacher Night. Please join us from 5-6:30 p.m. to say hello to your child’s new teacher. 
• September 18 is our first Pizza Day. Pizza can be purchased through School Cash Online. 
• September 19 is our first Lunch Lady day! Visit http://thelunchlady.ca/ to order. Note: This will be a Thursday due to the September 20 PA Day
• September 20 is a PA Day – No School for students

• September 24 is the first school council meeting of the year! If you are interested in nominating someone for the School Council executive, please download the nomination form and submit to the office by September 24th or bring it to the first council meeting. NEW this year is the pending formation of a Home and School Association. There will be a presentation at School Council.
