Parent Portal Update
As you know, the launch of the enhanced HWDSB Parent Portal has brought some challenges. We apologize for this and understand your frustration.
IT staff are working around the clock to address the most common issues, which involve children missing on portal accounts, the system not recognizing your email address and activating passwords.
When your account issue has been resolved, you will receive an email from PowerSchool noting that a change has been made to your account.
For elementary school families, please be assured that there will be a placement for your child at the school or for Remote Learning School.
We are expecting to have most issues resolved by midnight today (Friday, August 21) so that families have time to complete the return to school forms by Tuesday, August 25 at noon.
If you have not received notification of your account being fixed by Saturday, August 22, please fill out this Parent Portal Support Form. We are unable to process individual emails and the form will speed up the process.
If you are unable to register through the Parent Portal by noon on Monday, August 24, we will be providing an alternate method for these families.
- Not all children showing on Parent Portal: If the system is not showing all your children enrolled, note that staff are working quickly to add students to family accounts. When the information is complete, you will receive a confirmation email when this connection is made.
- System does not recognize your email address: Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your email address and children’s names.
- Activating passwords: Error codes on password page when trying to retrieve your password, or wait time on the password more than 10 minutes could indicate there is no email in the system, or the email is incorrect. Please email email@example.com and we will check this detail.
- The link you received did not work: Please LOG-IN here
