Norwood’s Kindness Club is collecting fabrics to support animals harmed by the Australian wild fires

Norwood Park School is joining the #GlobalCraftMovement to support the animals who have been harmed by the devastating forest fires in Australia and we need your help!

The Kindness Club will be collecting fabrics (clothes, blankets, etc.) that are freshly washed and are from a smoke-free household. The fabrics will be used to create a warm and safe space (beds and pouches) for the injured animals to rest and heal.

Acceptable Fabrics

  • 100% cotton
  • Bamboo
  • Fleece
  • Flannelette
  • Jersey
  • Polar fleece
  • Quilts (without stuffing inside)
  • Duvet covers

* All donations MUST have a paper attached to them, highlighting what materials they are made from. This is MANDATORY for shipping.

Norwood Park staff and students will trace and cut the fabric donations in preparation for creating beds and pouches for the animals. If you are crafty and/or interested in learning how to create your own pouches/beds at home, please find more information and specific instructions by searching the hashtag #GlobalCraftMovement online.

Fabric Donation Deadline: Tuesday, January 14, 2019
