Norwood Park’s Terry Fox Run 2025

This year Norwood Park students will be participating in the Terry Fox Run on Friday September 26th, 2025. Terry Fox represented the best that Canadians have to offer. He was an example of courage, humility, determination, and perseverance. From a young age he exemplified these attributes that made him an inspiration for not only Canada, but the entire world. Our next generation of students will be the ones to continue Terry’s fight and lead this worthy cause towards his dream of a world without
cancer.
Throughout the day, in staggered time slots on Friday September 26, students in grades 1 to 8 will join other students in their grade groups out on our school field to run or walk for 20-30 minutes in honour of Terry while learning about the importance of perseverance, compassion, physical fitness, school spirit and helping towards raising funds for cancer research.
*Don’t forget to wear White for Terry or a Terry Fox t-shirt as well as running shoes. We have a couple of fun challenges for the students to work towards during their run. The class that ran the most amount of laps, and the most enthusiastic class! It will be a fun and active day at Norwood
Park!
Families can donate directly to our school’s donation page or Cash Online or students may bring in a “Toonie for Terry’ donation on the day of our ‘run’! Last year we raised $1,499. Way to go Norwood Park Families and Friends!!
