Personal Devices at School

In accordance with PPM 128 and the HWDSB Modern Learning Policy and Personal Use of Electronic Devices Procedure, students in Grade 1-8 are no longer permitted to use personal devices during the school day. Except for educational purposes, as directed by an educator; for health and medical purposes; or, to support special education needs, personal devices (including earbuds) that are brought to school must be stored safely out of site and powered off or set to silent mode throughout the full instructional day. A reminder that Norwood Park School is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal devices that have been brought to school and we recommend that all personal devices remain at home.

Please contact the office if you need to reach your child throughout the instructional day. Your child will not be able to communicate with you via cell phone, as they will no longer have access to their device throughout the day. If your child needs to contact you, they can come to the office and use the school phone to make the phone call.

Thank you,

Caitlin Evans, Principal
