Final Reminder for Norwood Families

As we come to the end of another positive and exciting year at Norwood Park School, we would like to share some important information and reminders with our families.

Final School Days

We continue to provide learning and wellness activities for students during the final days of the school year. Families are asked to maintain their regular schedule with arriving to school before the first bell (8:55 am) and remaining until the end of the school day (3:15 pm).

Warm Weather

As the warm weather persists, we continue to take precautions at school to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Please remind your child to dress in cool clothing and bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated.

Staffing

The school staffing process continues over the coming weeks and months and our office will update staff information and positions on our website during the week of August 26th.

Report Cards

Report cards will be sent home with students on Wednesday, June 26th. The last school day for students is Thursday, June 27th.

Class Placements for September 2024

It is important for families to know that the caring staff at Norwood Park School have engaged in a lengthy and thoughtful process to determine class placements that will support student success and achievement. Many factors, including academics, well-being and current and potential relationships that impact multiple students, are taken into consideration and once class placement is determined, no changes will be made.

Class placements for September 2024 can be found in the Parent Portal beginning the week of August 26th.  Please check the portal on or after this date to find this information.

Please note that at times, HWDSB needs to reorganize classes in late fall. If this is to take place at our school, we will notify families in a timely manner.

Student Personal Belongings and Learning Materials

Teachers will be providing students the opportunity to clean out their lockers and desks and reminding students to take their belongings and learning materials home. Please check with your child to ensure that all personal belongings and materials are accounted for. Any items left behind will be donated to charity over the summer.
