Results of Lead Water Testing

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers,

Recently, our school underwent water testing for lead, in accordance with the provincial regulations (O.Reg 243/07). As a result of this testing, concerns were identified with the drinking fountain on the 2nd floor besides the girls’ washroom and the drinking fountain on the 2nd floor in the Special Education room (226).

The fountain in the Special Education room has been temporarily removed from service until corrective action can take place.

The fountain beside the girl’s washroom passed the test upon flushing of the fixture. As a result, we will continue to flush all drinking water fixtures each day before the school opens.
