On Wednesday, February 6th H.W.D.S.B. schools are celebrating Winter Walk to School Day! Mary Hopkins’ Eco- Club would love your help to participate and promote this great community event. It is a great way to get some fresh air, exercise and promote healthy habits as well as raise awareness about pollution. We are inviting the community to join in on our walk to school, students and families are encouraged to join us by meeting near Bulk Barn on Hamilton Street between 8:30 and 8:40 and then we will walk to school together. We will follow Hamilton Street to John St. W and cross the street at Main St. and John St., to reach the playground on Main Street.
If you normally walk, drive or take the bus consider changing your morning routine on Wednesday. Please note while teachers will be participating, this is not a supervised school activity; therefore younger students will need to be accompanied by an adult.
